Galilee

The Galilee, is another one of Israel's beautiful areas. You will find typical Mediterranean cities, where the Sea is the center of all aspects of life, or you can take a religious tour and go for Safed and Nazareth. In any case, while touring the Galilee we will meet minorities with unique stories, wild nature, and stories of settling the land and making a difference. An absolute "must" is to get a panoramic view of The Blue Eye of Israel – The Sea of Galilee.

Come with me to explore:

  • Minorities in Galilee: we will get an inside view of the ways of life of the Baha'i poeple, Druze, 'Achmedim, Salafies, Sufi Muslims and other small and special groups.
  • Religious tours in the Galilee: We will follow the footsteps of Judaism, Christianity and Islam sharing this small region. All three went through important changes in this area.
  • Safed – the city of mystics: To this day, Safed is home to people looking for spirituality. A Tour of Safed and its immediate vicinity over the centuries, gives special attention to several famous Rabbis that lived in the area.
  • Jewish Settlement in the Jordan Valley: While Tel Aviv built itself as the first Hebrew-speaking city, The Sea of Galilee witnessed the building of the first Kibbutz in the world – an entirely new concept. We will explore this idea through a variety of sites including Degania and the Kinneret Cemetery.
  • The Hula Valley is a crucial stop for large migrating birds. This tour combines history, geology and nature on the background of the story of the Hula Swamp.

Syria, Israel and the struggle for water: we will get an understanding of the struggle between Israel and Syria, via a visit to the Golan-heights, its sites and nature, and The Jordan River.
